Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

6 Pumpkin Fairy Photoshot #2

Beware: loads of pictures of my pixies to come

Toady I braved the photo shoot again and took nearly 100 shots of the girls in their Halloween costumes. Too bad I am not a photographer. Do you think the girls will let me try a 3rd time??? Any suggestion to get them to look forward and smile, specifically Allie who kept closing her eyes and ignoring me?

Allie (3 1/2) - - Kylie (1 1/2)

PS -I found the perfect touches for the girls' costumes at the dollar store today: orange wings and orange slippers! Best of all they were only $1/each.
(did you notice that Kylie's pair of wings were on upside-down?
oh, and Allie didn't want to wear her great footies?)

Very cute costumes! It was a really good try (tries) though! I still think the pictures are very cute.

I thnink they turned out great too. To get Laura to look at the camera I say something silly like, "Therer's a bunny on my head!" she laughs and looks, just in case:)I like the pic of allie from above, and the shot of them not looking with allie's feet on the pumkin.

What cute costumes, and I think the pictures turned out really good! I can't believe how big Kylie is getting.

Kylie is growing! I find that amid all the garbled sounds, she is saying whole phrases, sentences even.

I got the costumes on sale at ShopKo.

My favorite one is where Allie is pointing her wand at the camera, I can imagine her saying "Zap you're a pumpkin!" And the second one down where she's holding up her wand, and Kylie is looking up at it holding her own wand. They're great photos.
