Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

2 Pumpkin Farm: 4th time around

Hard to believe, but this is our FOURTH year we've raised pumpkins to sell to the local grocery stores. This evening Nate used his tractor & 6-foot tiller implement to till between the ROWS. We will be heading back out @ 6am to hoe between the PLANTS by HAND. Wish us luck!

Nate & Allie are driving. Dirk is riding on the irrigation pump as they haul it from the shed to the field. I've always had a thing for this fabulous old tree.

Us girls drove out a bit later to "help". Allie got to help drive the tractors, but Kylie & I were mostly moral support.

Here's the field after Nate tilled between the rows. Allie is our lovely assistant modeling the tender little pumpkin sprouts. Those weeds look innocent enough, but don't forget the scale of the field.

Here is a picture of Grandpa Eldon's almost finished shop/shed, for you Uncle Troy.
