Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

4 Takes a wash and keeps on playing

For Christmas Nate gave me a pink 'Sansa Clip' 2GB MP3 player. It got great reviews, has a full display, and a built in FM radio. It is super tiny and perfect for working out and snowboarding.

Last TUESDAY I was relaxing in the evening after the HUGEST powder day in the history of Beaver Mountain...TWO FEET!!! Then it dawned on me, although I'd checked all my coat's outer pockets, I had left my CLIP in my coat's inner pocket. AND MY COAT WAS NOW IN THE DRYER!!! Sure enough, after an extra-long cycle in the washing machine and at least 15 minutes in the dryer it would not turn on. I was DEVASTATED. Stupid me!

AMAZINGLY the next morning it turned on and played fine. The battery was nearly dead, but
it charged up fine. I can not believe that it is JUST FINE!!!

I'm glad Sare, since we have them too. Although we'll try to avoid the washing machine.

And hey I think you mean 2 gigabyte, 2 megabyte would maybe hold one song. hehe.

Thanks Elle. I actually have an 8 MB memory stick that came with our first digital camera (I think it took about 1 megapixel pictures if you can believe that!)

that thing must be the rock star of MP3 players!

I am glad you got an awesome snow boarding day!

too crazy! Aaron has had a great history of cell phones encountering water. One took a trip in the washing machine and some have ended up in other wet and not quite as clean places, but they always work afterward! We save our old cell phones in case we need backups since he has issues with this!
