Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

3 Sunday afternoon project

My sister, Maren, made me this great sign at her super Saturday craft day (she designed it, too). I LOVE IT! But...our old Christmas stockings are bright red, store bought ones that clashed terribly with it. So, this afternoon I tried out a crochet pattern I found on the internet using some leftover yarn. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I think that this week I'll have to pick up a few more colors to make some coordinating ones for the rest of the family. Ah, one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is all the crafting projects.

Great looking footware. You'll have to make a pair for Nate to keep his toes warm.

Hayley, come learn how to crochet yourself! I've been teaching the crochet group for our ward's Relief Society, but I'd be glad to teach you any time! It isn't that hard. I learned how in 4-H when I was 8. If not, maybe I could make you some...but they might not be done by this Christmas ;)
