Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

3 A Blast from the Past

Friday I got a wonderful shock! A long lost friend from Ricks (NOT BYU-I) college sent me a card. I hadn't hear from her in nearly TEN YEARS! I was so excited to hear from my friend, I got out a box of old photos. Oh, the memories! I can't wait to get to talk to her!

Here is my friend Camille (LeFeaver) Lowe. She is now in Mississippi & has FOUR kids.
These pics were taken April 1998 at our graduation from Ricks.

Here are a few pics from group dates.
The first was taken at my apartment.
(That big guy, Ben, was the center on the football team & my boyfriend at the time)

This one was at "Mary's Retro House" were we lived while my parents were building.
We were having a tinfoil dinner date.
Boy, was my hair GREAT of what?

Here is Camille, Laura, & I answering my initiation to a dance.
It was fun to dress up, but I don't miss all the fanfare with dating.

These last few pics are from performing with the Ricks Ballroom dance teams.
Ya gotta LOV the slicked bun look!

Don't know? I started Ballet when I was 3, but had to quit after my junior year due to major foot injuries. I was in walking casts for the better part of a year. I even taught ballet lessons on crutches my senior year of high school. Then, during my second year at Ricks I took a ballroom class & was hooked. I was on a lower team for second semester. At USU I made the competition team. We even competed in Boston at the Harvard competition. It was fabulous! I really miss it!!!! Nate & I met country dancing, but haven't been since we got engaged :( I keep hoping we will get to take a class someday.
