Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

1 Allie is a natural bike rider

Yesterday Nate took off Allie's training wheels at her insistence. She has been asking us to take them off since last summer. Nate said she took to it like a fish to water. No wobbling! Her only probably is tending to put on the brake when she is coasting. With the training wheels her bike would skid to a stop, but with now she wobbles with the sudden lost of momentum. In under 24 hours she figuring it out.

This morning she was the first one to wake up, bright and early, so that she could get ready for school in time to ride her bike before carpool. The below-freezing temperature didn't detour her a bit. She had made several rounds in the cul-de-sac before we left for preschool. She was right back at it after school...after lunch...after nap. Her goal is to get fast enough to keep up with her friends that are a few years older when they ride to the elementary school (2 blocks away) this fall for Allie's kindergarten year.

Here's a little video clip from day #2.

WOW Allie. Way to go. Your mom is going to need to buy you a lot of new shoes, but then shoes make the best brakes. When you come to my house next time, bring your bike. Okay?
