Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

2 Joy

Today I got a package in the mail from a wonderful lady who sells on ebay. She & I share a passion for some little dolls from our childhood. We don't know each other, but she generously passes on (for free!) any duplicates she purchases in her attempt to compile a complete set of these treasures. As you can see, over the years my collection of cast-offs has grown. I now have 16 dolls...and that's after I gave each of my sisters one for Christmas last year. (see this old post)
Maren had Cathy, the brunette
Abby had Valerie, the blond
I had Angie, the red head
(can you tell which one was MINE growing up?)
After naps today Allie spied the new dolls. I love that my girls are playing with my old toys!
PS: Maren, I completely forgot about them until the package came today. I wish we had got them out when your girls were here last weekend~!

I cannot believe how many you have now! Why didn't we play with them when we were there? The cowgirl outfit is so cute!

I totally remember playing with these dolls when we were little at your house. Very fun.
