Why do I Blog?

Life is so fast & furious with 3 young children, working from home, ect that I fear I will forget the lovely details of my girls' precious childhood.

My main motivation for blogging is to capture the every day moments...so I don't forget them before I have a chance to scrapbook. Sharing with you is just an added bonus. Keeping this blog has helped me get the photos off my camera's memory card and label/organize them on my laptop. It is the BEST tool I have for scrapbooking. I haven't ever been able to keep a journal, but this I can do. I don't pretend to have anything interesting to say. In fact I'm sure this little blog is boring to you, but to me it is priceless!

5 Resolutions 2008

I started my New Year's Resolutions a little early this year. I've got the standard eat better, work out more, get more sleep, ect. ideas but my main focus for the past few weeks has been the Fly lady way of life. If you don't know what I'm talking about, neither did I two weeks ago. Now I'm a Fly-baby with a shiny sink. After MANY friends had mentioned the www.flylady.com website I had to check it out...and you should, too. BUT not until you have a bit of time to check it out. It is like information overload. I would be overwhelmed, but they stress BABYSTEPS to gain control of your home. I'm really excited about this, so look for more post about my adventures in FLYing lessons.

One of my first lessons was creating a bedtime routine for Allie. This was easy, as we pretty much have one down. Last night I drew the sign & this morning she colored it. Allie LOVED the colored pencils!

I bet you are curious, so let me know what you think when you check out the site.

I love the flylady! I have been doing this for about two years now and it at least gives me a perspective on what to start with each day.

Hey girl, I do not FLY, but I have been familiar with it for the past 4 years. I am starting to think though that I may need to adapt my cleaning schedule to be more FLYLADY style - - - I am just falling way too behind on things.

anyway, if you can keep up with flylady, you will be sitting pretty in a sparkling clean house!!! thanks for sharing your new find and goal!

I love the bedtime chart. That's a great idea, I feel like bedtime routines are so hard sometimes, does this make it easier for you guys?

Our girls are great sleepers - sleeping through the night at 3-5 weeks, but we've had some rough patches with going to bed. I made the chart as an assignment from FlyLady. Funny, she loves the chart, but bedtime hasn't been as smooth as normal since we made it. I'm hoping it is since she has a bit of a cold.
